Hydrogen fuel cells vehicles are future of automobile, says report
Worldwide, over 20 MM hydrogen fuel cell vehicles could be sold cumulatively by 2032.
Unlock next-level hydrocracker flexibility in today’s turbulent markets
As a critical catalytic conversion unit, the hydrocracker provides refiners with valuable feedstock and product slate flexibility.
Review of the CSB report on the 2010 Tesoro refinery fire
On April 2, 2010, a catastrophic fire occurred within the naphtha hydrotreating unit in the Tesoro refinery in Anacortes, Washington. The final CSB report, including recommendations, was issued in May 2014, more than four years after the incident that resulted in the tragic loss of seven lives. This work critically reviews the CSB analysis of this incident and several of its resulting recommendations.
Analyze abnormal operations of an HDS reactor loop with dynamic simulation
Hydrodesulfurization units are used in a petroleum refinery to process a variety of feeds to alter composition via the addition of hydrogen.
NREL facilitates installment of advanced hydrogen fuel station in D.C.
The National Renewable Energy Laboratory facilitated a partnership between The US Department of Energy's Fuel Cell Technologies Office and Department of Interior's National Park Service to demonstrate hydrogen technologies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Secure the best benefit from C4 hydrocarbon processing—Part 2: Economic evaluation
Summarizing the outcome of the technical evaluation in Part 1 of this technical study, a tailor-made process route should be chosen for proper C4 hydrocarbon processing to obtain the best benefits from case to case.
Syngas from H2S and CO2: An alternative, pioneering synthesis route?
Hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide represent major concerns for the hydrocarbon industry. Both species are contaminants and, since their use as feedstock is minor, are considered troubling byproducts.
Detect boiler leaks upstream of the shift reactor in H2 plants
This example shows a simple method by which boiler leaks can be detected before it is too late.
