BioAmber has selected Sarnia, Ontario, as the location for its first North American biosuccinic acid plant. The Sarnia plant will have an initial capacity of 17,000 tpy and will be commissioned in 2013.

Technip wins design deal for Qatargas refinery expansion
Technip has won the design contract for a capacity-doubling expansion of Qatargas’ Laffan condensate refinery, officials said on Friday. France-based Technip will design facilities to raise output to 292,000 bpd, up from 146,000 bpd. The value of the front-end engineering and design deal was not disclosed.
