By co-processing renewable raw materials such as used cooking oil together with fossil crude oil in its conventional oil refinery in Porvoo, Finland, Neste is able to produce a complementary type of Neste RE, a drop-in feedstock for the production of plastics and chemicals.

Mabanaft has reached an agreement with the shipping company Hapag-Lloyd for the supply of B30 biofuel. A first test delivery of 1,000 t of B30 VLSFO arrived on the container ship Delaware Express and reached Mabanaft's Waltershof tank terminal in the Port of Hamburg on December 12.
Singapore's ChemOne delays Pengerang complex's start to 2028
Singapore's ChemOne Group has delayed the start of its Pengerang Energy Complex to the fourth quarter of 2028, with construction set to begin by mid-2025, after securing more financing for the project. When completed, the site is expected to house a petrochemical facility that can produce up to 2.6 MMtpy of products such as paraxylene, a feedstock for synthetic fibers and plastic bottles, and 3 MMtpy of fuel products including jet fuel.
