Long, J.
J. Long is the former President of the SINOPEC Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP). Dr. Long has more than 40 yr of experience in the research and development and applications of technologies for heavy oil processing, residue high-efficiency conversion, clean fuel production, oil refining and petrochemical integration, etc. He earned his BS and MS degrees in petroleum refining from East China Petroleum University in 1982 and 1985, respectively, and received his PhD in oil refining from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) in 1990. Dr. Long was awarded second prize for the National Scientific and Technological Progress three times, the first and second prize of SINOPEC Technological Progress 14 times, the Excellence Award of Chinese Patent and the Chinese Chemical Society–SINOPEC Chemical Contribution Award. He holds 52 Chinese patents, 18 international patents and has published 78 papers.
