Wison, Hyundai nab EPC contract for Puerto la Cruz refinery in Venezuela
Consortium Hyundai-Wison will carry out engineering, procurement, construction and start-up assistance of the environmental units, auxiliary units and revamp of atmospheric distillation units of the deep conversion project. Facilities will be able to process heavy crude oil, with a capacity of 210,000 bpd.
Technip wins FEED work on Sibur Russia PE project
The first contract concerns a linear low/high density gas phase polyethylene plant. Meanwhile, the second deal is for a high density slurry phase polyethylene plant, the company said. Each plant will consist of two parallel production trains with a total capacity of 1.5 million tpy of polyethylene.
SABIC affiliate picks Jacobs for engineering, design on Saudi PE plant
Jacobs was awarded a contract from SABIC to develop a process design package (PDP) and front-end engineering design (FEED) package for an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) plant in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. Officials did not disclose the value of the deal.
KBR awarded pre-FEED studies for offshore FLNG projects in Israel, Australia
KBR was selected as Höegh’s preferred engineer for pre-FEED studies on two projects off the coast of Israel and offshore Australia. Both projects will be performed in KBR’s operating center in London, utilizing the company’s FLNG engineering capability spread over the London, Houston and Perth offices.
Sibur picks Linde for Russia ethylene project FEED
Technology company The Linde Group has received an engineering contract for the licensing and front-end engineering design (FEED) of a world-scale ethylene plant in Tobolsk, Western Siberia. Once finished, the new plant will produce around 1.5 million tpy of ethylene and 500,000 tpy of propylene.
KBR wins technology, engineering deal for ethylene plant in Uzbekistan
Uz-Kor Gas Chemical has chosen KBR to provide an integrated technology, engineering, procurement and construction support solution for the company’s flexible-feed, 400,000-tpy ethylene plant in the Ustyurt region of Uzbekistan. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
CB&I wins engineering deal on new NKNKh ethylene plant in Russia
CB&I’s project scope includes FEED for a 1.0 million tpy ethylene plant, a related butadiene extraction unit and a pyrotol unit, including offsites and utilities. The work is scheduled for completion in 2013.

CPChem awards Texas PE project work to Jacobs
