Hydrogen-rich content gasoline: A new concept for paraffinic gasoline reformulation
Several refiners are evaluating a new gasoline-formulation technology called hydrogen (H2)-rich-content (HRC) gasoline. This patented technology uses low-sulfur, H2-rich refinery blendstocks like straight-run gasoline, isomerates, alkylate, butanes and renewable naphtha in gasoline blends, and adds aromatic amines (a high-octane gasoline additive) to make a drop-in specification gasoline.
A multi-objective optimization study for an integrated oil refinery-petrochemical plant—Part 2
In this research, the integration of an oil refinery and an ethylene-producing facility was examined using a mixed-integer nonlinear programming model that prioritized maximizing ethylene and propylene production and net profit.
India's May fuel use inches up on month on strong industrial activity
India's fuel consumption edged higher in May from the previous month, as strong industrial activity and general elections boosted fuel demand in Asia's third-largest economy.
QatarEnergy enters into a 10-yr naphtha supply agreement with Japan's Idemitsu Kosan
QatarEnergy has entered into a long-term agreement to supply Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd with a total of up to 6 MMt of naphtha to be delivered to Japan over 10 yr starting in July 2024.
A multi-objective optimization study for an integrated oil refinery-petrochemical plant—Part 1
The study of the ideal integration of an oil refinery and an ethylene production facility has regained interest due to the rising costs of crude oil and its derivatives. This study proposes a multi-objective optimization approach that maximizes the net profit and production of ethylene and propylene in an integrated plant.
