Plant automation including field devices is not only fundamental building block of any industrial plant but also represents significant capital and operational cost.
Traditionally, plants have adopted preventive maintenance practices to prevent unscheduled downtime. While this may uncover some possible problems, studies have found that not only this maintenance approach labor-intensive, it does not eliminate the possibility of catastrophic failures.
During this webinar we will discuss a Condition-Based Maintenance approach for plant automation assets, which will deliver higher plant productivity at lower risk.
In this webinar, you will learn about:
- Constraints of current maintenance strategy for plant automation assets
- Steps for an effective Condition based Maintenance program for plant automation assets
- A customer success story

As the world transitions to a circular, decarbonized economy, renewable hydrocarbons such as renewable diesel are expected to play an essential role in the future fuel and feedstock mix. As is the case in traditional hydrocarbon processing, many of the future production processes will strongly rely on rotating equipment such as turbocompressors and turboexpanders to treat such challenging gases as CO2, hydrogen and syngas feedstocks.
This Webinar is focused on:
- The requirements of EPCs, process licensors and end users alike
- Giving a broader look at how turbomachinery can support renewable hydrocarbon processes
- Turbomachinery designs for handling the challenges of decarbonized production

Ethylene plants are the core unit in most petrochemical complexes and the CO2 production from a world-scale cracker is quite large. With the pressure to reduce emissions today, Lummus Technology believes the move of operators toward net-zero CO2 output for steam crackers will occur in phases as the technology evolves, requirements are implemented and solutions are commercially demonstrated. There are, however, several competitive and cost-effective strategies available today to reduce a plant’s CO2 emissions that can be economically implemented, particularly when coupled with a capacity expansion project.
Join us for a discussion where our experts will review the technologies available, considerations and strategies of implementation, and how these solutions can be applied to decarbonize an ethylene plant.

As the world and global economy becomes more digital, market changes and pressures are becoming more dynamic. First, the speed of business continues to increase at a remarkable rate, which means business risks and variables, everything from fluctuating energy and feedstock costs to cybersecurity threats, are changing almost daily. Second, global policy initiatives and regulations that strive to create a more sustainable world mean companies now need to operate more efficiently, reliably and safely than ever.
Identifying, mitigating and managing business, operating and environmental risks in real time or near-real-time has become essential for the short- and long-term success. With that in mind, it is time to challenge the status-quo and revisit risk-management strategies, particularly the strategies used to mitigate process safety risks, and explore how they can help you optimize your operations for a more sustainable performance.
3 things the viewer will learn:
- Emerging elements on Process Safety Risk Management
- Effective Process Safety Risk Management during Operation and Maintenance phase of Safety lifecycle
- Dynamic Risk Visualization of Hazardous Events and associated Layer of Protections

Join Hydrocarbon Processing, Aggreko and Evoqua as we explore the fundamentals of a successful turnaround.
Proper Planning to Mitigate Risk, Reduce Operating Costs and Increase Efficiencies. 30 years ago equipment was owned and maintained by the site owner. The equipment was expensive to maintain and added additional overhead. Additionally, there was no return on capital. In the mid-90’s, accounting laws changed making rentals favorable to Capex. This has created the rental industry as we know it today, with a keen focus on price, timely deliveries and cost reporting. Leading with price has resulted in fewer services, creating a knowledge gap where owners order from a catalogue with limited input from the suppler. Clients need more from a supplier than a spec sheet – they need a technical resource with value added deliverables. We are going to discuss how proper planning can lead to a successful turnaround by mitigating risk, reducing costs and increasing efficiencies.
Water and Vapor Solutions Maintenance Turnaround Events. Water and vapor emissions play a critical role in plant turnaround and maintenance events. Turnaround Teams are focused on safety, schedule, compliance, and budgets during a turnaround where water and vapor control can be an afterthought. With stringent emission limits and wastewater constituent loading on plant assets, turnaround events can pose challenges for operators. Incorporating a reliable water and vapor treatment specialist within front-end planning process can help support a successful turnaround. Find out how multi-solution providers such as Evoqua can mitigate compliance pitfalls and support turnaround events to ensure a safe and timely event occurs.

This webinar will present two options offered by Chevron Lummus Global for producing high-quality distillate fuels from renewable sources such as algal oil, vegetable oils and used cooking oil.
CLG’s novel ISOTERRA process is an all-hydroprocessing route that can be operated to maximize yields of ASTM-approved renewable diesel or sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The two-step process involves hydrodeoxygenation of the feed followed by dewaxing to meet final cold flow property specifications. The ISOTERRA process is ideal for revamping existing hydrotreaters to renewables service as the process can be implemented in either one or two reactor stages.
Our jointly developed Biofuels ISOCONVERSION process employs hydrothermal cleanup, catalytic hydrothermolysis and hydrotreating steps to produce a high yield of diesel or jet fuel products as desired. Biofuels ISOCONVERSION can accept lower-cost unrefined feeds and consumes less hydrogen compared to all-hydroprocessing routes.

Fired heaters represent an area of high risk for operating companies. Global monitoring of combustion variables is essential for maintaining basic operations and a minimum level of safety. In this webinar we will discuss a new platform which transforms the way operators monitor and optimize their fired heaters for improvements in emissions, safety, reliability, and profitability.
Top tier refiners and chemical producers are experimenting with and implementing analytics and machine learning tools promising to boost throughput and efficiencies while reducing downtimes. The issue is that while many of these solutions can help expose problems, they don’t advise how to correct them. OnPoint’s EMBER™ software is unique in that it uses analytics and machine learning in combination with first-principle models from industry leading subject matter experts to provide real-time actionable recommendations to optimize your process heater combustion performance.
