Stratiev, D.
Dicho Stratiev is the Chief Process Engineer at LUKOIL Neftohim Burgas in Bulgaria. He joined LUKOIL Neftohim Burgas in 1990 as a Process Engineer in the catalysis laboratory of the Research Institute for Oil Refining and Petrochemistry. During his 25 yr with LUKOIL Neftohim Burgas, he has held several positions as Process Engineer on the visbreaker, vacuum distillation and FCC units. He holds an MS degree in organic chemical engineering, as well as a PhD and a DSc in petroleum refining from Assen Zlatarov Burgas University. Dr. Stratiev is the author of more than 130 articles.
Improve removal of phenolic and amine compounds in a sour water stripper
Joint stripping in a refinery sour water stripper (SWS) unit contributes to the concentration of phenols and total nitrogen (N) in the discharged treated water from the wastewater treatment unit.
Investigate processing near-zero-sulfur gasoline
This study considers the effectiveness of undercutting and hydrotreating fluid catalytic cracking feeds to yield ‘cleaner’ fuels
Residue upgrading: Challenges and perspectives
New hydrocracking technology efficiently 'cracks' heavy end cuts for distillates
Improve refinery reformate yields
This refiner installed a hybrid catalytic reforming unit to raise octane of the gasoline blending pool
How do feedstocks affect visbreaker operations?
Studies show that feedstock quality and severity on conversion impact the stability of visbreaker residue
