Mitsubishi Power Americas, through its subsidiary MHI Hydrogen Infrastructure (MHI H2I), has announced a subrecipient agreement between the Pacific Northwest Hydrogen Association (PNWH2) and MHI H2I’s Boardman Hydrogen Hub project.
Emirates Biotech selects Sulzer Technology to build polylactic acid production facility
Sulzer’s technology has been selected by Emirates Biotech for its upcoming polylactic acid (PLA) production plant in the United Arab Emirates. The facility will be constructed in two phases, each with an annual capacity of 80,000 tons, resulting in a total production capacity of 160,000 tpy.

Deep Sky, the Quebec, Canada-based carbon removal project developer, has secured a $40-MM grant commitment from Breakthrough Energy Catalyst (Catalyst). Mabanaft has reached an agreement with the shipping company Hapag-Lloyd for the supply of B30 biofuel. A first test delivery of 1,000 t of B30 VLSFO arrived on the container ship Delaware Express and reached Mabanaft's Waltershof tank terminal in the Port of Hamburg on December 12.

Samsung E&A awarded $955-MM contract for 650,000-tpy biofuels plant in Malaysia
SAMSUNG E&A announced that it secured the EPCC contract for a 650,000-tpy biorefinery that will have the capability to produce sustainable aviation fuel and other biofuels such as renewable diesel/hydrogenated vegetable oil. This biorefinery will be located within PETRONAS’ Pengerang Integrated Complex, Johor, Malaysia.
