Motiva Enterprises plans to begin the restart of the gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracking unit (FCCU) at its 656,400-barrel-per-day Port Arthur, Texas, refinery on Wednesday after completing repairs, people familiar with plant operations said.
The 81,000-bpd FCCU was shut on July 28 for repairs to the waste-heat boiler on the unit, the two sources said.
The Wednesday restart is in line with the planned timing of the FCCU’s return to production for Thursday.
