Manoir to equip refinery hydrogen furnaces for KNPC’s clean fuel project

Manoir Industries was chosen by ITT (Italy) and Heurtey PetroChem (France) to provide complete solutions of reforming Manaurite XM tubes, refractory collector lines and transfer lines to equip three hydrogen production furnaces of the Kuwait National Petroleum Company group (KNPC), officials confirmed on Monday.

The Manoir Industries deliveries are part of the KNPC's strategic Clean Fuel Project, which aims at upgrading the hydrogen production volume of integrated refinery plants so as to enhance the refinery's production capacity and reduce the sulfur content of their petrochemical products.

‎As a whole, more than 24 kilometers of pipes will be delivered on the KNPC sites to be implemented in their Haldor Topsoe technology reforming furnaces.

The daily capacity of the KNPC refineries will be improved by 10 % to reach 800,000 bpd, while the sulfur content of their products will be reduced by 5%.

This award strengthens further Manoir Industries presence in the Middle East and confirms its leadership in delivering competitive global reforming solutions from its production sites in China (reforming tubes) and Europe (collectors and transfer lines), according to company officials.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
