Digital Refinery: Change project execution with virtual and augmented reality

Peter Robar is the Global Knowledge Manager of project information and technology management at Fluor. He has spent most of his career supporting large projects in energy and chemicals, as well as supporting automation teams around the world to execute in a consistent manner. He is involved in Fluor’s adoption of emerging technologies and is a subject matter expert in virtual reality, drones, 3D printing, 360° cameras and lean methodologies.

Max Eklund is a Construction Automation Fluor Fellow and leads the construction visualization department. His team collaborates with many internal groups to explore emerging technologies across multiple industries and develop solutions that support all of Fluor’s business lines, including the use of drones, virtual and augmented reality, and 360° virtual tours. Mr. Eklund is also a subject matter expert on construction visualization and drones (UAVs).

Sabrina Devone is the Innovation Execution Lead in the Business Transformation and Innovation group at Fluor. Throughout her 18 yr at Fluor, she has supported energy, chemical and power projects as a process engineer, technical sales manager, project engineer and automation product lead. She works daily to steer the development, coordination and implementation of innovative solutions that improve safety, productivity and project execution.
