A new survey of manufacturing engineers and engineering management reveals that respondents expect to continue to enhance their control systems. This will be accomplished by adding predictive maintenance and equipment diagnostic functions to help manage information related to the process or application.
Only 5% of those surveyed last year had temperature control systems that included diagnostic or predictive maintenance capabilities. This year the figure is 25%. This trend is expected to continue to increase another 9% in the next two years, representing a strong demand for more intelligent temperature control systems.
