U.S. House targets big climate, clean energy rollbacks in budget proposal
U.S. House lawmakers laid out plans to phase out clean energy tax credits, slash spending on electric vehicles and renewable energy, and claw back other climate-related funds as part of the Republicans' attempt to pass a multi-trillion-dollar budget in line with President Donald Trump's agenda.
The Kassø eMethanol facility is inaugurated in Aabenraa, Denmark
The Kassø eMethanol facility in Aabenraa, Denmark, has been officially inaugurated and is now supplying eMethanol to offtakers. Developed by European Energy and operated in collaboration with Mitsui & Co., the facility is owned by Solar Park Kassø ApS under Kassø MidCo ApS, with European Energy A/S holding a 51% stake and Mitsui & Co. 49%.

HIF Global, through its subsidiary HIF Chile, signed an agreement with Porsche AG and Shell for the delivery of e-Fuels produced by HIF’s Haru Oni e-Fuels facility in Punta Arenas, Chile.

Uzbekistan oil and gas company Saneg announced the creation of a new subsidiary - Saneg JetWhites, which will become an operator for the sale of aviation fuel of both domestic and imported production. European Energy has successfully produced the first eMethanol at the Kassø Power-to-X facility. The methanol was produced in the first methanol line out of two at the facility and was achieved using biogenic CO2 sourced locally at the Biogas facility in Tønder.
Rely to support Verso Energy in the development of seven e-Fuels production plants worldwide
Rely, a joint venture between Technip Energies and John Cockerill, and Verso Energy have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), in view of the development by Verso Energy of seven e-Fuels production plants worldwide: four in France, two in Finland, and one in the U.S. These facilities are expected to produce more than 500,000 tpy of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), with up to 90% lower lifecycle emissions than conventional jet fuel.
INERATEC secures €70-MM financing commitment for Europe’s largest eFuel production
Sustainable eFuel production pioneer INERATEC has formally agreed to a €40-MM venture debt loan with the European Investment Bank (EIB) and a €30-MM grant with Breakthrough Energy Catalyst. The combined €70 MM backing will finance construction of Europe`s largest sustainable eFuel production plant in Frankfurt and eFuel research and development of future, key steps in decarbonizing aviation.
Liquid Wind announces new eFuel facility project in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden
The new eFuel project will be carried out in close collaboration with Övik Energi as a development partner and supplier of biogenic carbon dioxide (CO2). The new site is planned to be one of Europe's largest facilities for the production of eFuels.
