Boardwalk Pipeline Partners and Southwestern Energy Co. today announced that their subsidiaries, Boardwalk Field Services LLC and Southwestern Energy Production Co., have executed a 15-year, definitive gas gathering agreement to serve Marcellus Shale gas wells.

Chemtura inks antioxidants supply deal in China
US-based specialty chemicals producer Chemtura has signed a long-term supply agreement with Tianjin Lisheng Chemical of PR China for production of Chemtura’s thioester antioxidants. Under the agreement, Lisheng exclusively supplies Chemtura with thioester antioxidants in all regions outside of Northeast Asia.
Huntsman opens textile chemicals hub in Brazil
Huntsman’s textile effects (TE) division has officially opened a formulation and distribution center (FDC) in Sao Paolo, Brazil, seeking to further enhance the company’s ability to shorten the supply chain in its Americas markets. The FDC will focus on the production of dyeing auxiliaries, pre-treatment and finishing products for local customers, the company said.

Albemarle opens environmental R&D facility in US
US-based specialty chemicals producer Albemarle has opened its new environmental research and development facility at its headquarters in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This new facility will allow the newly-formed Albemarle Environmental Division to expand its capabilities into multi-pollutant control, while significantly growing its capabilities in environmental research, the company said.

Fluor wins engineering deal on new Canada refinery
Fluor was awarded a contract by the North West Redwater Partnership to provide front-end engineering and design (FEED) services for a new refinery project in Alberta, Canada. Fluor booked the undisclosed contract value in the third quarter of 2011.
