The European Union has started imposing anti-dumping duties on polyamide yarns made in China to protect EU producers.
The duties were set at a range between 60% and 67.5%, the European Commission said in a statement on Tuesday following an investigation.
The EU market for polyamide yarns, used in the textiles industry, is worth €400 million ($454.28 million) and the industry employs 2,000 people, the statement said.
