MOL says repairing petrochemical plant damaged in explosion could take several months

Hungary's oil group MOL said that its Olefin 1 plant, which was damaged in an explosion on Friday, could restart after several months of repairs, according to a preliminary assessment by experts.

"After a technical examination of damaged equipment we will have a clearer picture of how long the repairs would last," the company said in a statement. The pipeline explosion at MOL's petrochemical plant in Tiszaujvaros that killed one person and injured several others was an industrial accident.
