Japan's Idemitsu Kosan plans to shut a 70,000-barrels-per-day crude distillation unit (CDU) at the Keihin refinery of its Toa Oil subsidiary for major maintenance sometime in the 2026 fiscal year that starts in April, a company official said.
The refiner also plans to carry out shorter scheduled maintenance on a CDU at its Yokkaichi refinery in the next fiscal year, Mitsugu Wakamatsu, general manager of the finance department, told an earnings press conference.
The impact from the planned maintenance on its earnings will be smaller than this year when it carried out major maintenance at three sites, he said.
