India sees 5% increase in monthly refining output

NEW DELHI -- India's oil refineries processed 5.16% more crude oil in July than the previous month, government data showed Thursday.
From a year earlier, they processed 5.1% more crude.
Indian refineries processed 19.15 million metric tons, or 4.53 million bpd, of crude compared with 18.21 million tons in June. The July throughput beat the government's target of 18.74 million tons.
The numbers are based on output from 22 refineries.
Indian Oil, the country's largest refiner by capacity, processed 2.95% more crude in July compared with the previous month.
