New process produces methanol from waste
Isis Innovation, the technology transfer company for the University of Oxford, has announced that researchers in the school's chemistry department have discovered a new way to produce methanol (MeOH)a valuable biofuelfrom glycerol. About 90% of MeOH is produced from natural gas; this new process offers an alternative that does not rely on fossil fuels.
