Fuzzy approach for cascaded refrigeration synthesis

The proposed method provides accurate results with less computation

A new approach that combines fuzzy set theory, a process simulation program and engineering knowledge for synthesizing cascade refrigeration system is presented. The synthesis algorithm is based on applying expert rules and consists of the three main steps: qualifying expert rules in a fuzzy rule-based procedure, the classical conjunction of fuzzy compatibility degrees and choosing the best refrigeration systems. This approach has been tested on a number of conventional problems reported in the literature.
