Connectors for simple steam trap maintenance A new line of universal steam trap strainer connectors are offered with an upgraded BDV3 blowdown valve. When used with standardized, universal-type steam traps, the swivel-type connectors constitute a complete, compact trap station with NPT, socket weld or ½-in., ¾-in. and 1-in. flanged connections. Rated to 600 psig at 750°F, the trap station is compatible with Spirax Sarco universal thermodynamic, balanced pressure, inverted bucket, float and thermostatic and bimetallic steam traps.
