CB&I has a contract with Frontier El Dorado Refining Co. to design and build a crude and vacuum unit expansion at Frontier's refinery in El Dorado, Kansas. The expansion project is claimed to enable Frontier to increase crude charge rates, achieve higher gasoline and distillates yields, and run a significantly higher proportion of heavy crude oil. Contract value is $85 million. The project will be performed on a lump-sum, turnkey EPC basis. The crude and vacuum expansion will utilize a basic process design package by Process Consulting Services, Inc. Mechanical completion is scheduled for spring 2008.
