Koch Supply & Trading completed a project that expanded capacity at its Rotterdam, The Netherlands, refinery by more than 20%. It also increased production capability to allow flexible blend processing of crude oil and condensate. The refinery has recently restarted with the expanded capacity to process 80,000 bpd, up from 65,000 bpd. The refining facility, built in 1994, produces naphtha, jet fuel and gas oil, as well as residuals. The plant now has the capability to process either condensates or a high proportion of crude oil.
