The National Petroleum Council (NPC) recommends a portfolio of balanced policy initiatives that would save US energy consumers as much as $1 trillion in natural gas costs over the next two decades. In its new report, the NPC found that government policies encourage the use of natural gas but fail to address the need for additional natural gas supplies.
"A status quo approach to these conflicting policies will result in undesirable impacts on consumers and the economy, if not addressed," says this analysis.
