The ISA Expo '98 conference and exhibit was held Oct. 19–23 in Houston. Each year, some technology seems to dominate the event. In '97 the buzz words were "asset management." Although many new asset management products were introduced (check our New Developments and Innovations sections in future issues), and the topic is still of very high interest, it seemed to be overshadowed by interest in fieldbus.
