Bill Rooney is a Principal Technology Service Specialist for Honeywell UOP, supporting natural gas technologies for more than 10 yr. Prior to Honeywell UOP, Dr. Rooney spent more than 7 yr at Air Products and Chemicals as a process engineer for hydrogen production and baseload LNG technologies. He earned a BS degree in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a PhD in chemical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is the author on three US patents. Dr. Rooney is a senior member of AIChE and is serving a 1-yr term as Chair of the F&PD of AIChE.
