Norway's Mongstad oil refinery maintains operation during partial evacuation

Norway's Mongstad oil refinery was partially evacuated on Friday when smoke was detected at an electricity substation on the site, although the plant's production continued during the incident, operator Equinor said.

"No fire was detected and no one was injured," Equinor said in a statement.

The local fire service and police said they were responding to the situation.

Mongstad on Norway's west coast has a refining capacity of some 226,000 bpd of oil, according to Equinor's annual report.
