Michael P. Nelson is Principal R&D Engineer at the Flow Control Division of Flowserve Corp. He has more than 30 yr of diverse mechanical design and manufacturing experience, with more than 22 yr in the process control valve industry. Mr. Nelson holds an MS degree in mechanical engineering from Brigham Young University, is a licensed Professional Engineer in Utah, and has been issued several patents for innovative mechanical designs.
