J. Clint Follette is a BCG Partner and Managing Director in BCG’s Energy Practice, specializing in downstream oil and gas. He is the global leader of the firm’s work in the petrochemicals sector. Moving to Houston from BCG’s Dallas office, he brings more than 10 yr of consulting experience across a wide variety of strategy and operations topics. He is also the author of five BCG Perspectives articles. Before joining BCG, Mr. Follette spent 3 yr as a Research Engineer at ExxonMobil Chemical Co. in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is a graduate of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, with an MBA degree and a Master of Engineering Management degree. Prior to working at ExxonMobil, he graduated summa cum laude from the University of Louisville, with BS and MSEng degrees in chemical engineering.

Jaime Ruiz-Cabrero is the Head of the Energy Practice for BCG in the Asia-Pacific region. He is the firm’s worldwide topic leader for oil refining. Before moving to Southeast Asia, Mr. Ruiz-Cabrero led BCG’s energy practice in Africa, where he co-founded the Lagos office.Since joining BCG in 2004, Mr. Ruiz-Cabrero’s client work has focused on the oil and gas industry. He has supported companies in all stages of the oil and gas value chain, in both transformations and strategy development work. He has worked with international/national oil companies and independents across multiple geographies, including Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, Central Asia and Southeast Asia. He has authored multiple BCG Perspectives articles and papers in the specialized press.
