Höfferl, F. - OMV, Vienna, Austria
Franz Höfferl studied mathematics and physics at the University of Vienna and received his PhD in physics in 1979. He began his career as an LP and operational research specialist for OMV more than 30 years ago. Dr. Höfferl retired last year as the department manager for LP development and maintenance in OMV’s downstream division.
Steinschorn, D. - OMV, Vienna, Austria
Dietmar Steinschorn earned an MS degree in computer science at the Technical University of Vienna. For 25 years, he has specialized in LP modeling and implementing dynamic sequencing algorithms for solving complex scheduling problems along the refinery supply chain. He has taken over Dr. Höfferl’s role in OMV’s downstream division.
