The IVD vacuum vessel   applies aluminum coatings for   corrosion protection.   Thermal processing systems manufacturer Ipsen recently announced the release of its Ivadizer ion vapor deposition (IVD) vacuum vessel. The Ivadizer physical vapor deposition process is used to apply pure aluminum coatings to various substrates, mainly for corrosion protection. Unlike cadmium coatings, the Ivadizer’s aluminum coatings are nontoxic, making the IVD vessel safe for operating personnel to handle and use. Aluminum is also environmentally clean.
