Salt fouling and associated corrosion in the crude unit overhead are complex phenomena that impact refinery reliability, flexibility and, ultimately, profitability. Establishing an appropriate balance of physical, mechanical and operational parameters, unique to each unit, is critical to minimizing fouling and corrosion throughout the crude unit.
