    US plastic resins rally In 2006, the US plastic resins industry significantly rebounded from the powerful hurricanes that swept through the Gulf Coast in 2005. Resin production climbed to 113.2 billion pounds (Blb) in 2006, up a healthy 3.1%, according to recently released figures from the American Chemistry Council (ACC).
