Due to strong demand for propylene, recovery of this olefin from oil refining sources is economically attractive. The flexible nature of the fluid catalytic cracking unit (FCCU) is particularly adaptable to new market demands. Olefin yields can easily be optimized to satisfy local needs and handle a wide range of feed, operational and catalytic options to maximize propylene make.
New catalytic solutions can be applied to maximize propylene yield from the FCCU. Various approaches can achieve this target; options include conventional methods with catalyst and ZSM-5 additives, to applying state-of-the-art technologies.
Growing olefin demand. Global propylene demand is expected
