  Upswing in India's product demand After three years of virtually zero growth, oil products consumption is projected to increase 140 thousand barrels/day (Mbpd) in 2004. Most notable is the growth in diesel consumption; incremental growth for 2003 – 2004 is expected to be as high as 50 Mbpd. So says a report from FACTS Inc. (www.factsinc.net). In the 2003 – 2004, India's economy expanded by 8.3%. This is a marked increase over 2002 – 2003, when the economy as a whole
