GE Energy is supplying two compression modules to Petrobras Netherlands BV for a new floating production unit (FPU) to be located in the Campos Basin, off the coast of Brazil. The new FPU will be owned by Petrobras and is designated as P52. It is claimed to be the largest offshore facility in Brazil to extract oil and gas. It is expected to produce approximately 180,000 bpd and nine million scfd of associated gas. The two modules will each encompass three motor compressor trains.
