Fluor Corp. has a contract with Shell SA Energy and BP Southern Africa for engineering, design, procurement and construction management services. The agreement is for a clean fuels project at the jointly owned SAPREF crude oil refinery in Durban, South Africa. Contract value was not disclosed. The SAPREF large increase in octane number (LION) project will provide new clean fuels capabilities to meet South African requirements by January 1, 2006. The fuel produced will have a zero lead content as well as a reduced sulfur content.
