Lukoil has become the first Russian oil company to fuel a Lufthansa (Germany) plane with Jet A-1 fuel. Lukoil reportedly has invested a lot time and money in adjusting its production and fuel supply patterns to comply with International Air Transport Association (IATA) requirements.
To meet IATA's technical requirements, the Russian integrated oil company developed and implemented a new ?Jet A-1 Fuel for Gas Turbine Engines? domestic standard. In addition, the management system has been certified to conform to ISO 9001:2000 and AS 9100:2001 standards.
The fuel is produced at Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery in Kstovo, Russia, with a production capacity of 35,000 ton/mo
