Taiyuan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. (TISCO) has an agreement with Uhde GmbH, Dortmund, Germany, to build two coke oven batteries, each with 1.0 million metric tpy capacity of blast furnace coke, in Taiyuan, 500 km southwest of Beijing in Shanxi Province.
Uhde's service scope includes engineering, critical equipment supply and performing services pertaining to erection work supervision and commissioning for the first battery. Anshan Coking & Refractory Engineering Consulting Corp. (ACRE) is providing a large portion of the detail engineering.
