Practical guidelines show how to apply coalescer technology to enhance burner performance
Federal and state mandated environmental regulations require petrochemical and refining facilities to reduce nitrous oxide emissions drastically. Industry has widely adopted the use of low and ultra-low NOx burners to accomplish these environmental goals. The new types of burners, however, use smaller diameter orifices that are more prone to fouling. To overcome this limitation, advanced high-efficiency liquid/gas (L/G) coalescers can be used to condition the fuel gas and protect the burners.
