Techniphas an $80 million contract with Petrobrasto design and construct a natural gas plant in Guamaré, in the State of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. This is claimed to be the first onshore gas project for Technip in Brazil. The plant will include receiving, compression facilities, separation, drying and processing, as well as associated offsites. It will produce 1,500-million m 3/d of industrial gas, LPG and condensate. Under agreement terms, Technip will supply the engineering, procurement, construction and project startup. The work will be performed by its engineering center based in Rio de Janeiro and is scheduled to be completed first-quarter 2005.
