Rice Global E&C Forum October Roundtable: Saudi Arabia, Iran and the Middle East
HOUSTON—The Rice Global E&C Forum (RGF) October Roundtable at Rice University campus, featured the Keynote topic, “Saudi Arabia, Iran and the Middle East” delivered by Dr. Richard Stoll.
Dr. Stoll is the Albert Thomas Professor of Political Science at Rice University, and a Baker Institute Rice Scholar. The monthly luncheon Roundtable meeting opened with a presentation on the historic and current relationship between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
The presentation was followed by a Q&A session where attendees discussed the drone attack on Saudi Arabian petroleum infrastructure, the motivation for those actions, and what Iran expects to achieve in the Middle East.
The Rice Global E&C Forum is a venue for discussion of critical issues impacting the future of the global engineering & construction industry. The organization hosts monthly luncheon roundtable meetings, as well as an annual forum event which includes an opening reception, dinner and presentation.
The 22nd Annual Forum, “The Great Energy Transformation” will host EPC industry leaders for a discussion on the future of the industry and preparations for upcoming changes and trends. Keynote speakers include Andre Goffart, Senior VP, Development & Support Operations, Total Exploration & Production and Joe Thompson, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Downstream and Chemicals, Bechtel Oil, Gas and Chemicals.
The Annual Forum is November 11 - 12, 2019 in Houston, TX.
