Indonesia's Pertamina says Vivo will buy 100,000 barrels of gasoline

Indonesian state energy firm PT Pertamina will sell 100,000 barrels of gasoline to fuel retailer PT Vivo Energi Indonesia, Pertamina's trading subsidiary Pertamina Patra Niaga said on Monday.

Private retailers in Indonesia were told to import gasoline through Pertamina after the government capped their import quota for the year.

Vivo did not immediately respond to a request from Reuters for comment.

The deal with Vivo, an affiliate of Vitol Group, followed a deal with BP-AKR, operator of BP fuel stations, in late October where BP also bought 100,000 barrels of gasoline.

An earlier deal between Pertamina and Vivo feel through due to an issue with the ethanol content level.

On its Instagram page, Vivo said on Sunday that its 92-octane will gradually be available at its fuel stations
