Ketjen introduces state-of-the-art QUASAR Platform
Ketjen Corporation, a leader in catalyst and specialty chemicals manufacturing, today announced the commercial availability of its next generation QUASAR platform, with diverse hydrotreating applications for the production of clean transportation fuels.
“Our latest innovation is the product of Ketjen’s relentless pursuit of solving complex challenges,” said Ketjen President Raphael Crawford. “We understand that our customers need to stay ahead of the curve, and that’s why we are constantly innovating and refining our solutions to ensure we provide a diverse, safe, and reliable portfolio of solutions that help maximize the performance and economic potential of our customers’ assets.”
QUASAR was developed by applying high-throughput experimentation and characterization together with machine learning and computational chemistry. This new methodology helped identify relationships between catalyst preparation, metal active phase and performance, leading to our highest activity supported NiMo catalysts yet: KF 882 QUASAR.
KF 882 QUASAR is the first catalyst of the platform Ketjen is introducing to the market. It is dedicated to medium-to-high and high-pressure distillate hydrotreating and is designed to maximize refiners’ asset utilization. KF 882 QUASAR can be applied in Ketjen’s STAX configurations with other NiMo and/or Bulk Metal catalysts Nebula and Celestia to tailor performance to specific refinery operational needs.
Inquiries regarding KF 882 QUASAR and/or Ketjen’s comprehensive suite of catalyst technologies should be directed to Ketjen representatives through our website, www.ketjen.com.
