Valspar acquires Canadian coatings firm Madison Chemical Industries

Valspar announced today that it has completed the purchase of Madison Chemical Industries, a coatings manufacturer headquartered in Ontario, Canada.
Madison was founded in 1975 and has developed a global reputation for its technically-advanced products used for critical infrastructures such as water transmission pipelines, water and wastewater management, and potable water storage.
We are pleased to welcome the Madison team to Valspar, said Gary Hendrickson, Valspars CEO.
Combining Valspar's existing pipe coating products, global manufacturing and technical resources with Madisons extensive experience and qualifications in the water infrastructure market provides our customers with a broader array of proven solutions," he continued.
"Bringing four decades of breakthroughs and market leadership into Valspars technology portfolio is a big win for our customers.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
