The following table lists planned and unplanned production outages at US refineries as reported by Dow Jones Newswires. The information is compiled from both official and unofficial refining sources and doesn't purport to be a comprehensive list.
Citgo Petroleum Corp. said June 27 that its Lemont, Ill., refinery has resolved "support system disruptions" it experienced during storms, with no production impact.
Alon USA Energy reported maintenance being done at its Big Springs, Texas, refinery Thursday in a filing with state regulators. The company reported that it is taking steps to repair a firebox leak and reported emissions from the fluid catalytic cracking unit's boiler.
Valero Energy reported unplanned flaring at its Wilmington, Calif., refinery June 26 due to an issue with the third-party hydrogen plant that supplies the refinery. No material impact to production is expected.
Chevron started up a cogeneration unit at its Richmond, Calif., refinery June 24. A Chevron official said in the filing that there was no emissions impact from the startup.
Tesoro said June 25 that its Martinez, Calif., refinery is operating normally. The company reported a major unit startup at the facility June 23.
Chevron reported that its Richmond, Calif., refinery experienced at least 10 minutes of flaring June 21 caused by swapping hydrogen compressors.
The reconfigured CDU at BP's Whiting, Ind., refinery is in the process of restarting, a person familiar with the refinery's operation said June 24.
Phillips 66 said June 24 that it was restarting its Arroyo Grande, Calif., facility after it was temporarily shut down June 23 due to a regional power outage. The restart may take several days, the company said.
ExxonMobil reported a flaring event at its Joliet, Ill., refinery June 22 due to an electric failure on two G40 pumps.
Flint Hills Resources reported that its Rosemount, Minn., refinery lost power during a storm June 21.
Tesoro reported that its Martinez, Calif., refinery experienced a brief power outage June 19. The company said June 21 that operations at the plant were normal.
