IPT offers BQ9000 certification on all biodiesel facilities
International Procurement Tools LLC (IPT) will provide full BQ 9000 certification with each facility that it installs to ensure both the ongoing quality guarantees and the checks and balances the certification requires. IPT has engaged the services of a well known and respected BQ 9000 industry expert to ensure that the programs it installs will meet all the requirements of the certification process, and offers the same certification program to existing biodiesel producers as a consultant.
The biodiesel industry has been plagued in the past with non-specification fuels that have damaged some diesel engines. The BQ 9000 program is a unique combination of the ASTM standard for biodiesel, ASTM D6751, and a quality systems program that includes storage, sampling, testing, blending, shipping, distribution and fuel management practices. Certification is provided by the National Biodiesel Accreditation Program.
“The wider acceptance of biodiesel hinges on the confidence buyers of biodiesel have in the quality of the products that come out of our facilities”, said Peter Brown, IPT president. “As long as there is any doubt in the minds of engine manufacturers, trucking companies and any diesel engine owner will stay away from the many of biodiesel. Providing BQ 9000 removes one more barrier to the wide acceptance of biodiesel.”
IPT provides all the services required to design, finance, build and exploit biodiesel facilities in international markets.
