Siemens LLC, Dubai, as a consortium leader, has an order from the Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Co. Ltd. (ADGAS) to modernize and extend power supply and distribution equipment for a gas liquefaction plant on the island of Das. Project scope includes a new medium voltage switching substation and a power distribution network. An additional gas turbine with a 20 MW output will also be installed. These improvements will provide ADGAS with power reserves for future plant expansion. The contract is worth $40 million and completion is scheduled for late 2005. Toyo Engineering Corp. (TOYO) has a contract from Oman Methanol Co. LLC (OMC) to construct a 3,000 tpd methanol (MeOH) unit.
