Recovering and recycling steam condensate does offer economic incentives. Proper management of recovered condensate quality is crucial when protecting major equipment such as boilers. Three strategies can be used to chemically treat condensate: filming amines, neutralizing amines and neutralizing amines with oxygen scavengers.
